WhatsApp की नई डेटा पॉलिसी को लेकर पहले ही विवाद छिड़ा हुआ है। अब यूजर्स की वॉट्सऐप प्रोफाइल और प्राइवेट ग्रुप एक बार फिर गूगल सर्च पर सार्वजनिक हो गए हैं।

पिछले साल फरवरी में Google और WhatsApp उस समय सुर्खियों में थे जब कुछ पब्लिक ग्रुप गूगल सर्च रिजल्ट में दिखने शुरू हो गए थे। इन वॉट्सऐप ग्रुप की चैट और मेंबर इन्फो को गूगल सर्च में देखा गया था। हालांकि, इसके बाद यह समस्या दूर कर ली गई थी और ग्रुप भी छिप गए थे। लेकिन एक बार फिर कुछ वॉट्सऐप ग्रुप और प्रोफाइल गूगल सर्च में दिख रहे हैं। Gadgets 360 के साथ बातचीत में साइबरसिक्यॉरिटी रिसर्चर राजशेखर राजहरिया ने यह जानकारी दी है।

इस बार यूजर्स के फोन नंबर और प्रोफाइल पिक्चर भी गूगल सर्च में दिखाई दे रहे हैं। यानी स्थिति पिछली बार से खराब है। यानी अगर किसी के पास वॉट्सऐप ग्रुप का URL है तो वह गूगल पर इसे सर्च करके जॉइन कर सकते हैं।

रिपोर्ट में बताया गया है कि ययूजर्स लिंक के साथ ग्रुप जॉइन कर सकते हैं और ग्रुप मेंबर्स के फोन नंबर देख सकते हैं। इसके अलावा ग्रुप मेंबर के पोस्ट भी गूगल सर्च में देखे जा सकते हैं। अभी यह पता नहीं चला है कि आखिर वॉट्सऐप ने कबसे ग्रुप चैट इनवाइट को गूगल पर इंडेक्स करना शुरू किया है। हालांकि, करीब 1,500 ग्रुप इनवाइट लिंक सर्च रिजल्ट में पहले से उपलब्ध हैं। हालांकि, गूगल द्वारा इंडेक्स किए गए कुछ ग्रुप यूजर्स को पॉर्न कॉन्टेन्ट पर रीडायरेक्ट कर रहे हैं जबकि कुछ ग्रुप स्पेसिफिक यूजर इंट्रेस्ट वाले हैं।

एक्सपर्ट ने जिक्र किया कि फेसबुक के मालिकाना हक वाला इंस्टेंट मेसेंजर ऐप chat.whatsapp.com सबडोमेन के लिए robots.txt फाइल का इस्तेमाल नहीं कर रहा था। कंपनियां सर्च क्रॉलर्स को कॉन्टेन्ट इंडेक्स करने से रोकने के लिए robots.txt का इस्तेमाल करती हैं। 

प्राइवेट अकाउंट को दिखाना शुरू कर दिया है। इनमें यूजर की प्रोफाइल इमेज और नाम शामिल हैं। वॉट्सऐप के डोमेन पर कंट्री कोड सर् करके यूजर प्रोफाइल देखना भी संभव है। खबरों के मुताबिक, करीब 5000 प्रोफाइल अभी सार्वजनिक हैं। राजहरिया के मुताबिक, वॉट्सऐप यहां भी robots.txt फाइल का इस्तेमाल नहीं कर रहा है। फिलहाल वॉट्सऐप और गूगल ने इस बारे में कोई बयान जारी नहीं किया है।
